Step out of the show and into a beach house.

Beyond the shutters, the sea. Sunlight moves across the water, and the room moves with it: the light indoors rising, warming, softening and falling in perfect time with the sun outside the window. Sound comes from everywhere and nowhere. Nothing looks like technology. Everything just feels right.

The Beach House is an experience about light: the one element that decides how every other choice in a room is seen, the one that rarely gets the attention it deserves.

It was brought to life the way our clients' homes are: Homeplay working hand in hand with interior designers, using technology to elevate the interior, never to intrude on it.

The show is built on Lutron's Intelligent Lighting, with Ketra at its heart - the first electric light source that is true to the sun.

Most lighting holds one colour and changes only its brightness. This light follows the sun's natural arc through the day: warm and gentle at sunrise, clear and energising at midday, golden and calming as it falls. When it dims, it warms, the way the sun does. It reaches a 0.1% glow most systems cannot approach, and it renders fabric, art and skin the way their designers intended, at every hour of the day.

And the point of all of it is how a room makes you feel. Light is the body's clock: cool, bright light tells you it is daytime; warm, low light tells you to unwind. A room lit this way keeps you in step with the sun, which is why people who live with it all say a version of the same thing: you stop noticing the lighting, and you start noticing that you feel better.

That is what The Beach House demonstrates. Not a product on a plinth: a room that feels different at 7am, noon and 7pm, because the light is genuinely different.

Stand anywhere in The Beach House and the sound is simply there: rich, full and immersive, arriving from all around you rather than from any point you can name.

Waves roll through the room, gulls cross overhead, and the music sits in the space as naturally as the light does. Yet there is not a visible speaker anywhere. No grilles, no boxes, nothing on show at all: the entire soundscape comes from Sonance architectural audio, concealed completely within the fabric of the room.
