Home Technology Budgeting Tool

Our budgeting tool allows you to quickly get a feel for the cost of installing a professionally designed integrated home technology system.

It takes less than 5 minutes to complete and will generate a price immediately, without you needing to leave your contact details.

It’s powered by the Home Technology Association - a US-based organisation whose mission is to connect homeowners with the most reputable and qualified professionals in the home technology industry. We’d encourage you to look around the HTA site - they have some excellent articles that will help you select the right home technology professional.

We’re in close contact with the HTA and will be a founder member when they enter the UK market.

We use the HTA budget calculator for 2 reasons –

1.     It’s provided by an impartial third party (the Home Technology Association) and provides transparency simply by it being easily accessible on our website – anyone can use it and everyone sees the same pricing

2.     It’s had a huge amount of development/data from dozens of the best home technology integration businesses across the US and UK and as such it’s a far more accurate tool than we could build on our own

Please remember, accurately designing and estimating the cost of home technology is a time consuming process and the purpose of the calculator is to get to a broad figure in a short space of time, so that you quickly see the cost implications of adding/removing items and decide how you want to progress.

Please remember that it’s not a ‘quote’ – we can’t provide a fixed price quote without undertaking a meaningful amount of design work, in the same way as your builder can’t give you a quote for a house without detailed plans, or your interior designer can’t give you a quote for an interior without working through a design process.

Finally, there is a large difference between the low-end and high-end estimate which reflects the huge amount of choice across every element of the project. For example, you can choose between:

·       A 55” TV for between £300 and £3,000

·       A lighting keypad between £100 and £1,000

·       Ceiling speakers between £500 and £5,000+

·       A simple automated roller blind for £1,000 or a custom automated curtain pole for £10,000

To use a car analogy, it’s similar to the difference in price between an entry-level luxury car, and a top-of-the-range car with all of the extras.

Our job is to understand your needs and help guide you as to where it makes sense to save money and where it makes sense to spend money so that we stay within your budget whilst delivering a technology solution that’s right for you.
