Sonos: the best way to control your music
Here is how we actually use Sonos, and it is probably not what you expect. We rarely install Sonos speakers. What we install is the Sonos system: the app that is widely accepted as the best interface there is for playing music around a large home, with every streaming service in one place and a design your whole family already knows how to use.

The speakers themselves are another matter. In our projects the Sonos app is usually driving architectural speakers you cannot see: plaster-in Sonance, miniature K-array, and in some homes L-Acoustics or Steinway Lyngdorf. Sonos amplification sits hidden in a rack, wired, powered and cooled to run for years without being thought about.
“You get the familiar Sonos experience in every room. The sound comes from somewhere else entirely, and it shows.”

That division of labour is the point. Sonos does what it does best, which is choosing and controlling the music. The speakers are chosen for how they sound and how completely they disappear into the interior.
Sonos also sits happily inside a larger system. In many of our homes it is the everyday music layer while Control4 runs the house and L-Acoustics handles the cinema. Start with our approach to Entertainment, or hear a Sonos-controlled invisible system at our Experience Centre.
