All our systems use enterprise grade networking products and infrastructure to give you the best possible performance across hundreds of devices, whilst remaining discreetly tucked away from view.
Security
We design high definition CCTV systems that are perfectly suited to your needs, allowing you to access crystal clear images on touch panels, TVs and mobile devices. And should you need it, everything’s backed up on a secure network recorder.
Access control
We’ll ensure you never miss a delivery again, with our integrated access control solutions that let you see who’s at the gate or front door, speak to them and let them in, all from one simple user interface.
Control systems
Much of our industry will tell you a luxury home needs a central control system running everything through one touchscreen. We disagree, and we say so publicly.
After twenty years of designing these systems, our view is that the best interface is usually the one you already know how to use: the lighting keypad on the wall, Spotify on your phone, the Sky remote you’ve used for years. We call this approach The Simple Home.
That is not an argument against control systems. We have won global awards for complex whole-home control design, and there are cases where nothing else will do — multiple screens showing the same match without echo, a large estate needing one security overview, or several homes that should all behave identically. We design and install those systems too.
The difference is that we don’t default to one just because it’s what the industry has always done.

Almost every “smart home problem” we’re called to fix turns out to be a network problem. Lights, music, television, cameras and door entry all depend on it, so we treat it as infrastructure rather than an accessory.
We use enterprise-grade networking throughout — the equipment used in offices and hotels, not the router your broadband provider posted you — designed to hold hundreds of devices at once without degrading, and hidden entirely from view. We are a Ubiquiti dealer, and use their UniFi platform for networking, cameras and door entry.
Questions we’re asked
What happens when something breaks?
You call us. Our aftercare service includes unlimited remote support for members, emergency out-of-hours cover, and an annual system check. Membership is just £99 per month.
Do I have to use an app for everything?
No, and we’d usually advise against it. Wall keypads for lighting, a remote for television, your own music app for music.
Can you take over a system another company installed?
Yes — we’re happy to help with systems we didn’t install, though our aftercare memberships are for existing Homeplay clients and new whole-home projects.
What if I only want one part of this?
A typical Homeplay project starts from around £100,000, but our Aftercare team can often take on smaller works, depending on what’s involved.
