Serengeti Living: Decorex 2025

Serengeti Living, our 2025 showcase at Decorex, still shapes the way we think about what a home can feel like. Here's the story behind it.

Homeplay brought Serengeti Living to Decorex, not as a stand, but as a story: what happens when world-class lighting, invisible sound and thoughtful automation are integrated with design from the very beginning.

Built with a phenomenal group of partners

Serengeti Living was shaped alongside a phenomenal group of trade and design partners.

Lutron brought the art of light and shade to the space through beautiful lighting and intelligent shade control.

Every element of the space was orchestrated through Control4.

Sonance delivered architectural, invisible audio, proof that performance and discretion can coexist beautifully.

Creative direction and interior design came from Hill House Interiors.

Lighting design and discreet light fittings from John Cullen Lighting.

Bespoke joinery and cabinetry from Matthew Hill Bespoke.

Each one helping us to conceal technology within genuine craftsmanship.

Alongside these core partners, a wider network of collaborating and contributing brands helped bring every finish, fabric and detail to life.

What Visitors Saw

What visitors saw first, was simply a beautiful room. No wires, no panels, no visible technology at all, just considered interiors that felt warm, luxurious and aspirational.

Spend a little time in the space, and you start to realise just how much technology must be at work, you just can't tell where.

Here's some of what was quietly at work: colour intelligent lighting that shifted the mood of the room in an instant. Invisible audio that filled the space without a single speaker on show. A portrait video art display that turned a wall into something alive.

Discreet architectural light fittings, bespoke media joinery, and signature furniture pieces from Hill House Lifestyle's "Elegance" collection, each one proof of how thoughtfully designed technology and beautifully crafted interiors can work as one, quietly out of sight.

Serengeti Living was a genuine team effort, and a true reflection of the philosophy behind Homeplay: technology should disappear into beautiful design, not compete with it. Setting the standard for everything we've built towards since.

We'll be back at Decorex in 2026, ready to tell the next chapter of this story. If you can't wait until then, visit us at our award-winning Experience Centre in Surrey.
