Lutron lighting control and automated blinds

Walk into almost any serious home on earth, penthouse or private island, and if the lighting responds beautifully there is a fair chance Lutron is behind it. The company invented the dimmer in 1961, holds thousands of patents, and its systems light the White House and the Guggenheim Museum.

We specify Lutron HomeWorks, the top of the Lutron range, engineered for whole-home projects where lighting, blinds and shades work as one system. The distinction matters. Much of what is sold as "Lutron" is the entry-level kit. HomeWorks is a different discipline altogether: designed into the house circuit by circuit, alongside your architect and interior designer, not added afterwards.

Lighting. Scenes rather than switches. One press for morning, evening, dinner, away. Keypads engraved to match the interior, in finishes that deserve their place on the wall of a beautiful room.

Blinds and shades. Lutron's automated blinds move silently and in perfect unison, holding fabric tension so precisely that a wall of glass reads as a piece of joinery. Paired with the lighting, the house manages glare and privacy on its own as the day moves round.

The difference is audible as well as visible. It is one of those details you only notice when it is absent.

We have specified Lutron for more than twenty years. See our work in Kew, Surrey and Bankside, or experience a full HomeWorks system running live in our Experience Centre in Sunbury-on-Thames.
